Empowering Women. Advancing Governance. Building Accountability.
CIAG was founded in 2023 by women activists who recognized the urgent need for institutional support to advance women's leadership in Somaliland. Their shared experience revealed deep-rooted structural and cultural barriers that restrict women from accessing leadership roles.
Since 2024, CIAG has achieved significant milestones:
Today, CIAG stands as a center of excellence for dialogue, mentorship, and advocacy for women's leadership and accountable governance.
Ensuring the participation of women, youth, and marginalized groups in all spheres of governance.
Upholding transparency, honesty, and ethical leadership in all our work.
Striving for the highest standards in our programs, research, and advocacy efforts.
Building confidence, skills, and partnerships for lasting impact.
Embracing new approaches and creative solutions to address governance challenges.
Maintaining impartiality while respecting diverse perspectives and viewpoints.
